Warranty Details

RL Audio One (1) Year Limited Warranty—Headphones

 

RL Audio, LLC extends You this Limited Warranty. Statutory or common law may provide You with additional rights or remedies, which shall not be affected by this Limited Warranty. Consumers have the right to choose whether to claim service under the RL Audio One-Year Limited Warranty or under their consumer law rights. Important: The RL Audio One-Year Limited Warranty terms and conditions shall not apply to consumer law claims. For further information about consumer law, please contact your local consumer organization.

 

Please note: All claims made under the RL Audio One-Year Limited Warranty will be governed by the terms set out in this warranty document.

Remedies

 

Your RL Audio branded hardware product (“Product”) is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of One (1) Year from the date of original retail purchase (“Warranty Period”) when used in accordance with RL Audio’s instructions in the provided user manuals. Under this warranty, you will be able to direct your claims to RL Audio even in situations where you purchased the RL Audio Product from a third party. If a defect arises during the Warranty Period, RL Audio, at its option will (1) Replace the Product at no charge using new parts or parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, (2) exchange the Product with a product of equivalent functionality formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability or with your consent, a product that is at least functionally equivalent to the product it replaces. This warranty excludes normal depletion of consumable parts such as batteries unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship and damage resulting from abuse, accident, modifications, unauthorized rep of RL Audio or other causes that are not defects in materials and workmanship.

 

How to get warranty service

A Warranty Service Order must be requested from RL Audio within the stated Warranty Period determined from the date of receipt of shipment. To request a Warranty Service Order, contact RL Audio Service Team: info@RLifeAudio.com. To obtain warranty service, in accordance with applicable law, RL Audio may require the customer to furnish proof of purchase details and/or comply with registration requirements before receiving warranty service.

 

Warranty options

RL Audio will provide warranty service through (1) Mail-in service. If RL Audio determines that your Product is eligible for mail-in service, you may ship your Product to a RL Audio Rep ,RL Audio headphones Service or Authorized Service Provider location. RL Audio will ship a replacement Product or part to you with installation instructions, if applicable and any requirements for the return of the replaced Product or part.

 

To qualify for a refund, all the following conditions must be met:

There are a few important things to keep in mind when returning a product, you purchased from RL Audio: (1) A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be requested from RL Audio within 10 calendar days from the date of receipt of shipment. To request a RMA, contact RL Audio Service Team at: service@RLifeAudio.com. If your country's applicable law provides a longer period of revocation, the law shall prevail; (2) Only items that have been purchased directly from the RL Audio online Store can be returned to RL Audio. Products purchased through other retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective returns and refunds policy; (3) Returned product and packaging must be in good physical condition (not physically broken or damaged); (4) Please ensure that the item you're returning is repackaged with all the cords, adapters and documentation that were included when it was received; (5) The cost of return shipping must be paid by the customer; (6) Necessary contact information (including but not limited to name, phone numbers, address, email, purchased date, etc.) must be clearly displayed on the printing template provided by RL Audio Service Team or written on paper by the customer, and must be included along with the returned product; (7) For warranty service, please keep your receipt and/or invoice to validate proof of purchase.

 

 

Limited product warranty

(1) RL Audio is not responsible for damage arising from failure to following instructions relating to the product's use. (2) For Latin American Consumers, custom service from RL Audio service center or RL Audio Retail is not available, to request a Warranty Service Order, contact local RL Audio authorized dealers. (3) This warranty excludes normal depletion of consumable parts such as batteries unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (4) Any limitations of liability in this warranty document shall not apply to (i) death or personal injury pursuant to any mandatory law on product liability; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (iii) intentional misconduct or gross negligence; (iv) or a culpable breach of major contractual obligations. A damages claim based on a breach of major contractual obligations or gross negligence will be limited to foreseeable damage typical for the sale contract concerned.

 

Additional terms and conditions

(1) Shipping and handling charges, gift wrapping fees and taxes paid (e.g., state, customs, VAT) are not refundable. If your order contains multiple products and you only return a portion of them, please note that total shipping charges are not refundable. Partial shipping charges are also not refundable. (2) If you return a product to RL Audio, (i) without a RMA from RL Audio; (ii) without all parts included in the original package, RL Audio retains the right to refuse delivery of such return. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, it shall be severed from this warranty and the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected. This warranty is governed by and construed under the laws of the country in which the product purchase took place.

Safety and Important Information:

Handle RL Audio headphones and charging capsule with care. They contain sensitive electronic components, including batteries, and can be damaged or cause injury if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, disassembled, or if exposed to excessive heat or liquid. Don’t use damaged RL Audio headphones or charging capsule. Read Instructions.

  • Follow Instructions.

  • Do not use this apparatus near water.

  • Clean only with dry cloth.

  • Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

  • No user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

 

To avoid damage to hearing, make sure that the volume is turned down before playing music on your headphones. If your ears start ringing or aching, remove the headphones immediately and have your hearing checked. The louder the volume, the less time is required before your hearing could be affected. RL Audio hearing experts suggest that to protect your hearing:

  • Always listen at a low to moderate volume.

  • Remember to rest your ears once in a while.

  • Limit the amount of time you use the headphones at high volume.

  • Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.

  • Reduce the volume if you can’t hear people speaking near you.

 

Traffic

RL Audio headphones effectively isolate external noise. Avoid using RL Audio headphones while driving a vehicle, bicycle or similar, or while crossing streets, or any activity that requires your full attention and capability to hear. Listening to music in traffic environments may lead to accidents.

 

 

 

Cleaning

Headphones can lead to ear infections if not properly cleaned. Use a soft lint-free cloth to clean headphones from time to time. Don’t get moisture in any openings, or use aerosol sprays, solvents, or abrasives. If a skin problem develops, discontinue use. If the problem persists, consult a physician.

 

Batteries

Don’t attempt to replace RL Audio headphones or charging capsule batteries yourself—you may damage the batteries, which could cause overheating and injury.

 

Choking hazard

RL Audio headphones and charging apparatus may present a choking hazard or cause other injury to small children. Keep them away from small children.

 

Magnetic fields

RL Audio headphones and charging capsule contain components and radios that emit electromagnetic fields. RL Audio headphones Prevention of Hearing Loss CAUTION: Permanent hearing loss may occur if headphones are used at high volume for prolonged periods of time. The charging capsule also contains magnets. These electromagnetic fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, or other medical devices. Maintain a safe distance of separation between your medical device and RL Audio headphones and charging capsule. Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for information specific to your medical device. Stop using RL Audio headphones and charging capsule if you suspect they are interfering with your pacemaker, defibrillator, or any other medical device.

 

Electrostatic shock

When using RL Audio headphones in areas where the RL Audio headphones is very dry, it is easy to build up static electricity and possible for your ears to receive a small electrostatic discharge from RL Audio headphones. To minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge, avoid using RL Audio headphones in extremely dry environments, or touch a grounded unpainted metal object before inserting RL Audio headphones.
